Five of my favorite links from this week; how Norwalk’s Graybarns is running their business during COVID-19, Paige Lauren children’s face masks, GOOP’s ‘Only Child Stereotypes’, Brinker & Eliza’s Say My Name Necklace and a delicious vegetarian pasta recipe.

Lemon Pasta with Ricotta and Peas / Food + Drink

I’m still very much into this simple and delicious vegetarian pasta recipe. Peas are one of Wesleigh’s favorite veggies so we include them in many of our meals. Having this easy recipe on hand has been a real winner for dinner in our home – it’s light enough to serve during the warm summer months, but hearty enough to keep everyone satisfied.

Paige Lauren Adult Child and Mini / For the Kiddos

These are some of Wesleigh’s favorite masks to wear. They are available in a few sizes which is helpful for children’s faces to ensure a proper fit. Fortunately, Wesleigh gladly wears a mask and the masks come in a variety of cute patterns and colors to fit your childs personality crafted of super soft, breathable, organic dyed material.

Graybarn, This Boutique Family Owned Property is Pivoting During COVID 19 via AD Pro / Home

Referred to as a haven of refuge, Graybarn is one of our special go-to restaurants here in Norwalk. Since its origin as a stagecoach stop in the 17th century, its rich history has led it to its current state as a restaurant, inn and mercantile shop, all which maintain its former charm and historical aesthetic. AD Pro explores with its family owners, The Glazer’s, how Graybarn is marketing their rooms as pied-a-terre’s for weary NYC residents as well as adding distance-friendly work out options, to keep the business running during COVID-19.

Brinker & Eliza Say My Name Necklace / Style

If I didn’t make it clear earlier, I really cherish personalized items. I think they make wonderful heirlooms and am so excited to eventually gift this Brinker & Eliza initialed necklace to Wesleigh. I personalized it with her initials after all! Mine is in SKU Peony, but its available in nauticalorange and purple. They also have these adorable barrettes in watermelon and sage.

Only Child Stereotypes via Goop / Wellness

“There is an intensity for the child in an only-child family. Which goes to this idea of dilution. Because there is no dilution, the attention is trained on one kid. And everything gets amplified. Which is something that the parents need to be mindful of.” Lauren Sandler, an award-winning journalist based in Brooklyn dives into the discomfort of only-child stereotypes and cultural assumptions about single-child families. As an only child myself, who, at present, feels entirely fulfilled with one child, I really enjoyed reading this article
